Skilled migrants available to fill your Job Vacancy:
This Website was born from the frustration on the part of employers looking for skilled workers and the frustration of skilled migrants looking for jobs.
For years we have been hearing New Zealand employers complaining that the skills necessary to fill skills-shortages cannot be found in New Zealand.
On the other hand we have been listening to the frustrations of migrants for the past 20 years that often advertisements on recruitment related web sites stipulate that a prerequisite to being considered for a position of employment is a work permit or permanent residence and often [but not always] migrants need offers of skilled employment in order to qualify for work permits or permanent residence. A frustrating catch-22 situation for migrants and employers alike. This web site hopes to help address that paradox.
Recruitment consultants are often part of the problem. More often than not they refuse to consider candidates who lack work permits because their commissions are dependent on placing the applicant with the certainty they can take up the position in the shortest possible time. Without work permits, migrants cannot legally be employed in New Zealand.
There has also been a traditional reticence on the part of some employers to consider migrants who don't have permanent residence or work permits for several reasons:
- concerns regarding the complexity of the bureaucracy associated with obtaining work permits and permanent residence;
- concerns about the ability on the part of the migrant to fit into the New Zealand workplace because of cultural factors, English language ability and transferability of skills.
Skill shortages, an ongoing problem:
As skills shortages have worsened in New Zealand we now find a greater willingness on the part of New Zealand employers to consider migrants especially those from English-speaking countries with similar cultural values to New Zealanders.
We frequently receive enquiries from New Zealand employers as to whether we have migrants with particular skill sets in demand in New Zealand. These employers however often do not understand that there are a range of migrants at varying stages of the New Zealand immigration process and to have a migrant with the particular skill set already in New Zealand is rare. More often they are to be found abroad.
It can be both costly and unnecessary for employers to embark upon campaigns abroad to recruit migrants with particular skill sets and often they do not have the expert knowledge of immigration law and new zealand immigration policy to determine the eligibility of these would be migrants for work permits and permanent residence.
Qualified mIgrants a viable recruitment solution:
Every month we travel to countries such as South Africa, United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia and the United States of America to present immigration seminars aimed at those thinking of immigrating to New Zealand. Those interested in migrating are carefully screened and fully briefed on the immigration process and the logistics that lie ahead. If we feel that they are likely to qualify for work permits or permanent residence their details are listed on this web site enabling you [the employer] to search for different criteria such as occupation, country of residence etc. This is a FREE SERVICE to you and paid for by the migrant. If you decide to interview or employ one of our clients there is NO FEE involved.
No catches, no fee. All we ask of you is that you will only employ anyone introduced to you through this service if they are confirmed [by us] as clients of IMMagine New Zealand Immigration.
We make no representations regarding the suitability of the candidates for a position of employment [we are not a recruitment consultancy ] -- we feel that most New Zealand employers are quite able to determine the suitability of someone to join their organisation.
